Day 1

7.58 am (Malaysian time)..
'AirAsia X Airbus

Excited + Sleepy + Tiring + Scared.. This was exactly how I felt the moment I snapped myself out of myself that I am actually not dreaming. *I have longed for this and here I am.* Thanks God for my wish is granted.

Met a guy from Penang in the plane, a lecturer with 2 sons who are studying in Melbourne, and that explains why he was sitting beside me.

He said Brisbane is not as nice as Melbourne. 'It's only a country side.." He said. "Nothing much to see." However, I am still looking forward to seeing the Redlands.

AirAsia X is rather disappointing. You have to pay even for in-flight entertainment. RM30 for movies, music and games. *Not knowing whether my $$ is enough for the trip, I would rather not take the risk of running out of Ringgit when I go back.*

Tips: Book a seat that is the 1st row of each cabin, such as Seat 8A, 16A and aisle seat as it's a long hour flight and this seats have bigger leg space and more convenient for toilet access.
Pauline is kind enough to pick me up at the airport. We bought Skybus ticket to Southern Cross station in the city. Adult return ticket costs $26. Had Shanghai noodle for lunch near Glen Waverley.

Visited the city in the afternoon.. Yarra River, Federation Square, Flinder Central station (as shown on the right) and China Town. We had dinner at Crown Casino as we were stuck as it started to rain heavily. We had pizza $6.90 and mixed platter $12.90.
